![]() If you want to get a feel for how heavy cruisers play, some of the other nations have them at lower tiers, 5 to be specific. You might struggle a bit though when you need to fight other cruisers. So really if you're happy playing a supporting role you can keep going. ![]() ![]() It's not easy but it is rewarding.īut if you like AA that's still good all the way up, DD hunting gets easier with RADAR at Tier 8 as well. Having said that BBs will punish your mistakes hard. The heavy cruisers do play a little bit more like BBs although the US ones are pretty agile and have decent turret turn times (once upgraded) so it's nothing like the level of planning required to play a slow BB like New Mexico. If you like rate of fire you'll be disappointed with what you find higher up. It doesn't seem very forgiving post T6! I'm good in a carrier and mostly useful in a DD, I seem to really suck long range though which seems to be high tier CA territory Jokes aside (well not entirely my aim is bad) I don't see a lot of love for the CA in the US line till the DM, the Cleve seems to be the last of the CL's and if my other T7 adventures are anything to go by I don't want to be in T8/9 battles in a Pepsi at my talent level was my worry. My concern is I may have to actually learn to aim -) (I don't get this trouble when in the Cleveland!) I got tormented be enemy aircraft carriers though, so I was greatly put off the ship. I was aware that it was fragile so I played carefully. You could play the successor to the Cleveland - the Pensacola - for example. Usually you will be able to play any ship that you want.
